As a teacher, I strongly believe that students should consider diving into self-directed modules to accelerate their learning. Self-directed learning allows students to take control of their education and explore topics that interest them the most. It fosters autonomy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, which are essential for success in modern bilingual societies. Moreover, being in Montreal, a bilingual environment, provides an excellent backdrop for practicing these skills daily. Students can study French online, enhancing their language proficiency and cultural understanding. Self-directed modules in such an environment offer a unique opportunity to engage with diverse resources, connect with experts, and gain a deeper understanding of different subjects. By taking charge of their learning and embracing self-directed French classes, students can truly accelerate their educational journey and develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
